What I Actually Do

I work at the intersection of public health, leadership and youth development.

In public health, I support state governments, development partners and institutions to strengthen health systems, improve accountability and drive better outcomes for millions of people.

In leadership and advocacy, I convene conversations, build coalitions and provide thought leadership on health, gender, governance and human capital development across Africa.

With young people, I create platforms, programmes and resources that help young Africans, especially girls, discover their voice, develop leadership skills and thrive.

My mission is simple:

To help people, communities and systems to become healthier, stronger and more impactful

About me

I am Dr. Chinekwu Oreh, a public health leader, author, speaker and founder of The Healthy African Girl Foundation. My work sits at the intersection of public health, youth development, gender equity and leadership.

As a Senior Health Specialist at the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, I support state governments across Nigeria to strengthen health systems, improve accountability and accelerate progress in primary healthcare, nutrition, immunization and human capital development.

Through the Healthy African Girl Foundation, I have led initiatives that have reached thousands of young people with programmes focused on leadership, character development, adolescent health, girls’ empowerment and social impact.

I am passionate about raising a generation of young Africans who are confident, purpose-driven and equipped to influence their communities and the world.
